Candice and Norman are getting hitched this fall in a big ole giant wedding in Richmond.
I’m talking awesome giant church and a kickass ballroom…
and I’m stoked to be a part of it.
We spent an afternoon in their home and around their favorite spots in Richmond.

  • Sister - Candice and Norm…my congratulations to both of you! you will be in my prayers even if I’m not there. God’s blessings!ReplyCancel

Lara and Jeff are getting hitched at a blueberry farm.
That’s cool.

They also live in a pretty awesome basement apartment and live in DC.
Also cool.

They also only had five total photos together.
Not cool.

Until now.
Now they have more than five.
Back to being cool.

This sweet fam. I can’t even. Alicia is a dear friend and super talented photographer.
I stopped by her home to get my Margot snuggles in on the way home after a wedding.
I managed to snap a few photos between all of the catching up.

These two are the most fun.
I’ve already decided I’ll probably be spending their wedding day alternating between laughing and doing 90s dances.
They are getting married over Labor Day weekend… so their wedding photos will not be far behind.
And I cannot friggen-fraggen wait.

Chelsea is a really wonderful photographer who I have had the pleasure of getting to know in the last few months…
(Just in time for her to move and leave and go to the other side of the state.)
She wanted this time documented. Her family’s first home.
To remember the moments inside the walls of her home she and her husband loved so dearly.

We played in the hall.
And had a little snack break.
We read books and took a walk and dug in the dirt.
We threw away mulch in the trashcan (because that’s what kiddos do) and laughed together.
The Andersons lived in their home as they did everyday.
And it was perfectly perfect.

Best of luck in western Virginia, Anderson fam.

Brittany and Andy are high school sweethearts.
(And the cutest couple on the face of the planet.)
They were married on their 9th anniversary in Columbia, South Carolina along side their families and friends in Brittany’s dream pink and
gold Cinderella wedding. After their “I do”s in Brittany’s family church… they partied harty at 701 Whaley (which is such a dreamy wedding venue).

So many thanks to Emma from Of Fate and Chaos for shooting with me.

Guys. GUYS.
These guys are the cutest.

Emma is a really talented photographer in Norfolk and I’m super glad to count her among my friends.
Capturing other photographers is always a little nerve-wrecking… and lifestyle sessions are always a toss up with peoples’ expectations.
I believe that a true lifestyle session just follows along with your real life and isn’t a series of styled, faux-casual perfect portraits.
HOWEVER, when Mom and Dad’s anniversary is that weekend… you make sure to get a few photos sitting on the stairs. <3
I’m thankful that Emma and I share a lot of the same philosophies with photography and I am super stoked with how these came out.
